I had an Idea the last day of Akon, after I visited the AP table and wasn't able to get away to get back up there.
Set up a DVD player and play the trailer for the GD movie in a loop or other clips from the movie at the booth. I think it might do a good job of grabbing the attention of people walking by that may not know a lot about the AP comics, and get them to stop at the table.
We actually did that at Comic-Con International (back when it was still San Diego Comic-Con, I think) when Time Raft Part 2 came out. We had the whole thing on a loop, in fact. To set up something similar for A-Kon, we'd have needed to prep a trailer DVD, bring a TV and DVD player setup (or a laptop, though that really wouldn't have been the best display option), and find room to place that setup where people could watch it easily yet it wouldn't crowd out other stuff at the booth. And of course, we'd need electrical power at the booth.
If we decide to do this, the worst of it will be finding space for the TV and DVD player.
